Kinesiology teacher talks about letting go
I had a good clear out of my loft recently, I also had a rewire and spring cleaned my house. The difference in the energy within my home and myself is amazing . My home feels more spacious (even though the clearing was from the loft where we don’t see the clutter). Plus, breathing feels more spacious, easier and fresher, even though I didn’t know it felt stifled. Letting go of the things I no longer needed and that weren’t working for me really cleared the energy.
Interesting that we have feelings and not know about them until they change. We can get used to feeling under par and that then becomes our ‘fine’ BUT how ‘fine’ are we? Everyone’s ‘fine’ is different.
Every movement is energy
If we don’t move enough, our bodies can’t feed and clean themselves efficiently. This can cause imbalances that may lead to symptoms, conditions and even disease.
There are other energies within our life that need to keep moving to be balanced too. Emotions also need to ebb and flow, we need to feel, understand and be able to express the full spectrum of our feelings and not necessarily for instance see joy as ‘good ‘ and anger as ‘bad’.
Expressing, dealing with and letting go of our emotions in a balanced way is the key to good health. Listening to our bodies, thoughts and feelings are all as important as each other.
If we listen, we can respond, make changes and begin letting go of the things we no longer need
Changing things around and making shifts within our lives is very healthy, however often we are not open to change as it can be charged with uncertainty or even fear.
In my experience some people would rather die than let go of old pattens, behaviours, habits and dysfunctional relationships for instance.
We are often pushed into change when the situation becomes even more uncomfortable than the change itself
However, we need strength and to feel our power within to change. This is one of my favourite areas of my job as a Kinesiologist, it is a privilege to facilitate change through empowering people to let go of old stuff that no longer serves them. For example if we hang on to grief without expressing and working through it as a process, it can get locked into our bodies causing problems in the lung and or large intestine area.
Fear however could effect our kidneys and bladder and so on. Emotions and how to address them are covered thoroughly through out TASK’s training, along with many techniques to balance and restore well-being right from the beginning, on our Foundation Course. We are then go deeper with more understanding as we progress with the Practitioner and Diploma Courses.
It helps to be mindful and remember that sometimes our current problems that may once have been our solutions may no longer work for us now and we need to release and move on with ease in a new way.
