Brian H. Butler – my father, was the first to pioneer the teaching and practice of basic Applied Kinesiology in Britain and Europe in 1976. I was around his treatment table as a child, and later assisted in his classes in M.C.P.E. Systematic Kinesiology which he had developed. I grew up in trust, seeing and believing that anything is possible in terms of getting people well, and also the benefits of leading a healthy life.
The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology (TASK) was founded over forty years ago in 1980 by Brian H. Butler, Stephanie P.L. Mills, and myself.
For over twenty years, my father, in close contact with Dr. Sheldon Deal, N .D., D.C., the then Chairman of the Examining Board of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (I.C.A.K.), progressively developed and built the T.A.S.K. Syllabus from peer reviewed new techniques in Applied Kinesiology researched by I.C.A.K. post-graduate Diplomates. My father and Dr. Deal also formulated the ‘Code of Ethics and Practice’ which is the guide for the professional conduct of T.A.S.K. practitioners.
My father retired in 2000 and asked me as a co-founder of T.A.S.K. to take over as the CEO. My father is still very active within TASK as our technical adviser.
It was a natural progression for me to follow in his steps to treasure and expand on the more than twenty-four years of pioneering work that established the unique power of M.C.P.E. Systematic Kinesiology in the world of Complementary Medicine. I am honoured to be the Principal of TASK, and based on the foundation my father built, now to uphold, develop and refine the presentation of teaching materials for our expert trainers, and also to include many valuable findings of modern research into aspects of natural medicine. I invite you to watch the video offered here, to see and hear what “M.C.P.E. Systematic Kinesiology” is all about.
I look forward to meeting you personally at one of our “Experience Systematic Kinesiology” events, and perhaps in the near future, as a student on one of our many courses.
